How To Make A Powerful Conclusion Of A Research Paper

The conclusion of your research paper finishes up your research paper with a break down of all the information that you just gave to the reader.  This helps them remember all the points that you covered on the topic and reinstates what the research paper is about. This leaves the reader thinking about the research paper after they have put it down.  You conclusion has to be just as powerful as your introduction. There are some basic ways that you can end your research paper; you can reinstate your topic but don’t elaborate too much because you already did that in the body of the paper.

You can also reinstate your thesis, this means that you can rephrase or restate it but this doesn’t mean writing it again word for word.  It should be almost an entirely different sentence.  Or you could just briefly give a summary of all of your main points in your paper.  You can also use the conclusion to tell the reader about further research that needs to be done on the subject.  This can be a study or research that needs to be done in the field to get more information.

How To Make A Powerful Conclusion

  •  Most conclusions do summarize the information in the research paper but you want to make sure that you combine all of the information in a different way than you did in the rest of the paper.  This means you don’t repeat anything in that was in the paper already, you need to reword everything that you put in your conclusion to not sound like the rest of the paper because that is boring if you do this.
  •  If you research paper has different sides of the topic, then you can use the conclusion to give a logical opinion on the subject but make sure you have all the evidence to back up this opinion.  You also don’t want to go overboard if you choose to do it this way.  You want to give enough information on your opinion but not too much.
  •  If all of your research didn’t give you the answers you were looking for, then tell the reader that in the conclusion.  You can give them the information that you were trying to find and even tell them if after the research you opinion on the subject changed.  And you can tell them that the answer might be out there but further research is needed to find that answer.
